Sound-
We are at a crossroad with sound, we cannot decide if we would use diagetic or non diagetic sound for our opening, both have advantages and disadvantages. Using a non-diagetic musical score seems most appropriate for a film opening and it would heavily influence the build up of tension in the opening but we are struggling to find any royalty free music that fits our opening without sounding out of place. Diagetic sound would sound natural and maybe accommodate a voice over better than music would but, the sound recording ability on the camera is not very good and ,in my opinion ,the sound from free sound websites would also sound out of place and feel a bit weird. The option I see as potential is making our own music, this has issues however as I have no idea how to make music, I am not sure about Tom so I am going to assume he does not know either. Making our own music would also take time which we do not really have, if we make our own music we could edit it to better suit out film, something that we would struggle with using free sound.
