Main character ideas-

Our idea for a main character for our film is going to be an elderly man, as he is supposed to be an x-Nazi he would need to be born on 1925, 20 years old by the end of the war and 80-90 years old by the time the opening is set in. The character would have no striking features and look like an average, rural elderly gentleman. The character would be comparable to Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino except the character would be less outspoken and more simplistic, living independently with their wife in a quiet town. The character, being an x-Nazi, would realistically need to be and speak German but this could become a problem as out actor we are going to use does not speak German. This could be avoided however by not including any diegetic voicing and using the voice over to develop the character and set the scene. Depending on the amount of time we have we could make the voice over German, by using someone who can speak German to do the voice over and adding sub titles to le the audience know what he is saying.
